How to Get to Truckee-Tahoe from Reno
From Reno, get on Interstate 80 westbound toward Truckee and Sacramento. When you reach Truckee, exit onto Highway 89 heading south toward Lake Tahoe. Just past the short tunnel, make a left at the first traffic light onto West River Street. Watch for Truckee-Tahoe Pet Lodge on your left at 10960 West River Street, roughly six-tenths of a mile from Highway 89. Plan on 30 to 60 minutes behind the wheel, depending on which part of Reno you're starting from. Continuing on to Northern California or the Bay Area? We're only about five minutes off I-80, so dropping your dog off barely adds anything to the trip.
